Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating technical drawings and 3D models, supporting product development, and collaborating with design and engineering teams to bring innovative concepts to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed CAD drawings and 3D models using industry-standard software.

  • Work closely with engineers and designers to create accurate technical documentation.

  • Modify and refine designs based on feedback and project requirements.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and design analysis to improve product functionality.

  • Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and manufacturing constraints.

  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless transition from design to manufacturing.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CAD software and emerging design technologies.

  • Assist in the creation of bills of materials (BOMs) and other technical documentation.

  • Support prototype development and testing activities.

  • Contribute actively to the overall management of the company.

  • Actively participate in the tendering, estimating, proposals and winning work process.

  • Ensure that design deliverables are in accordance with Company Procedures, Contract instructions and Design Control Plan.

  • Carry out constructability Assessments for Designs and Design Packages.

  • Communicate effectively within the multidiscipline design team in addition to Client and Supply Chain representatives to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.

  • Ensuring that appropriate Engineering deadlines are met within agreed deadlines and within budget.

  • Ensure all technical deliverables and data are prepared and structured in accordance with relevant Engineering codes and standards.

  • Effective management and resolution of engineering confliction.

  • Check, verify and approve engineering documents in line with the technical specifications

  • Undertake constructability reviews.

  • Identify Engineering changes and variations and inform Project Manager.

  • Produce estimates and Engineering inputs for inclusion in proposals as required.

  • Produce enquiry, bid appraisal, order and sub-contract documentation for submission to procurement.

  • Liaise with Project Managers and other personnel to ensure a smooth co-ordination of work is achieved.

  • Work in accordance with Company and Client procedures.

  • Work to Quality plans, Inspection and test plans (ITP), relative to the projects to ensure consistency across all activities.

  • Ensure compliance with current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, including Industry codes of practice.

  • Ensure compliance with CDM (Construction Design and Management Regulations) if applicable.

  • Any other ad hoc duties as may be required and as are commensurate with the grade of the post.

  • Create two- and three-dimensional designs and technical drawing.

  • Design frame works for projects

  • Creating detailed design and construct plans for colleague in other disciplines, such as manufacturing engineering or architecture.

  • Use computer software to create rendering.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CAD Engineer or similar role in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and design standards.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, CAD Design, or a related field (preferred).
