The Role:

Due to recent major project wins, our client is currently recruiting for a project Manager for their site based in St Helens . The roles will be office based for the start of the role and then will be moved onto site on various locations across the UK Duties will include:

  • Managing all aspects of the project process including initial consultations with customers, preparation of delivery schedules, project resourcing requirements, running of tests through to final project sign off, etc.

  • Managing the project delivery team including Site Managers, Supervisors, mechanical an electrical installation teams and sub contractors to ensure the project is delivered on time and to budget

  • Directing and monitoring logistics on site

  • Managing the implementation of all plant and machinery

  • Creation and implementation of risk assessments and method statements

  • Attending regular meetings with the client

  • Updating Contracts Managers and Directors on project progress

  • Ensuring health and safety is adhered to on a daily basis

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a Mechanical Site Project Manager

  • Prior background in heavy industrial sector

  • CSCS card

  • SMSTS certificate

  • HND or equivalent in mechanical engineering / construction

  • Excellent people management skills and a proven ability to manage teams

  • Ability to make quick decisions and find solutions if any issues or problems arise

  • Ability to deal with complex tasks and deliver them to a set budget and timescale

  • Ability to build relationships with clients

  • Clear communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills

  • Attention to detail - accurate and methodical in work.

  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
