The Role:
The Welding Inspector will oversee welding operations at an oil refinery project, ensuring all welds and related processes comply with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. This position is critical for maintaining structural integrity and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Inspection & Monitoring: Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of welds on pipelines, vessels, and other refinery structures to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Welding Procedure Review: Review and verify welding procedure specifications (WPS) and welder qualification tests (WQT) for accuracy and applicability.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspections, welding logs, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on weld quality and status for project management.
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Welding Inspector within a heavy industrial environment.
